ARTESANA YOUTH STUDIO

Since our founding in 2016 we have offered free community silk screen printing workshops at local community centers, schools and festivals. OUR STORY

Since starting Paper City Clothing Company Carlos and collaborators have offered free design and screen printing workshops to youth as a means to spark their creativity and inspire them to think critically about power and justice in the world. In 2019 we launched a new initiative out of our shop on Dwight Street, Urbana Art Studio, now renamed ArteSana Youth Studio in light of our partnership with fellow social enterprise and nonprofit since Fall 2020. This partnership takes our community engagement practice to the next level with a vision to  offer a space for culture for us by us in Holyoke including a gallery area, event area, and of course a platform for youth to access work and learning opportunities, and make and sell their own art. Proud recipient of MassDevelopment TDI Creative Catalyst grant to support this project. Click here to learn more.
